Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive, painless treatment that delivers immediate results for all skin types.

A jet of microcrystals are blasted across the skin’s surface, gently removing the top layer of dead skin cells to reveal more radiant skin beneath. It is extremely effective for those with acne but is also very good when used to combat the signs of ageing – fine lines, dull skin, brown spots and even sun damage can all be improved with a course of dermabrasion. Regular treatments can also help those with certain types of scarring.

A session of microdermabrasion normally lasts between twenty and thirty minutes and an average course is around four to eight sessions very much depending on the skin condition of the patient and the results they are looking to achieve. With sessions around two weeks apart, after the second session, most patients notice a significant difference in the quality and tone of their skin.

Once the treatment is complete, the patient can go immediately as there is no recovery time and usually no discomfort caused by the process. If the skin does look a little red, mineral make up can be worn immediately after the treatment.
